Sister taxa: Deinosuchus hatcheri, Deinosuchus riograndensis, Deinosuchus schwimmeri, Pliogonodon priscus

Type specimen: AMNH 3073, a partial skeleton (Partial premaxillae, maxillae, mandibles, dorsal vertebra, scapula, partial ilium, scutes). Its type locality is East of Fresno Creek, which is in a Campanian/Campanian floodplain claystone in the Aguja Formation of Texas.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at East of Fresno Creek
