Type specimen: MMNS VP-256, a partial skull (posterior skull and partial mandible). Its type locality is Tulip Creek (Tupelo), which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Coffee Sand Formation of Mississippi.
Ecology: planktonic carnivore

• Cretaceous of United States (3: Alabama, Mississippi collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
