Type specimen: UI x8872, a valve (tail plate). Its type locality is Dry Lake Range, Clark County, which is in an Artinskian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bird Spring Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution: found only at Dry Lake Range, Clark County
