Sister taxa: Jereina cylindrica, Jereina ramosa
Type specimen: USNM 340073. Its type locality is Locality 6, Block C, mule trail between El Portachuelo and Mucuchachi, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal wackestone in the Palmarito Formation of Venezuela.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
