Sister taxa: Eoletes gracilis, Eoletes tianshanicus, Eoletes tshakpaktasensis

Type specimen: IVPP V 6062, a partial skull (anterior portion of skull). Its type locality is Yinponcun (IVPP locality 65008), which is in an Eocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Bailuyuan Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser

Distribution: found only at Yinponcun (IVPP locality 65008)
