Sister taxon: Belgirallus minutus
Type specimen: IRScNB Av 55, a limb element (distal end of right humerus). Its type locality is Boutersem TGV, which is in a Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Borgloon Formation of Belgium.

Distribution:
• Oligocene of Belgium (1 collection), Germany (1)
