Sister taxon: Belgirallus oligocaenus
Type specimen: IRScNB Av 61, a limb element (distal end of right humerus). Its type locality is Boutersem TGV, which is in a Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Borgloon Formation of Belgium.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Boutersem TGV
