Type specimen: OSU 52413, a shell (whole shell). Its type locality is Somerset Cut Limestone quarry, east side County Road 96, 2.1 km N County Rd 96, which is in a Chesterian/Brigantian carbonate limestone/shale in the Maxville Limestone Formation of Ohio.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Somerset Cut Limestone quarry, east side County Road 96, 2.1 km N County Rd 96
