Type specimen: Omo 56-68-3100 & Omo 56-68-3101, a partial skull (calvarium and mandible). Its type locality is Omo - member C, which is in the Gelasian of horizon the Shungura Formation Ethiopia.

Ecology: amphibious grazer-browser

Distribution: found only at Omo - member C
