Type specimen: USNM 137683, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Loc. 1a. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Botetourt Formation of Virginia.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
