Sister taxon: Yaguarasaurus regiomontanus

Type specimen: BRV-68, a partial skeleton (Skull and incomplete jaws, atlas, axis, first cervical vertebra, two anterior dorsal vertebrae and fragments of ribs). Its type locality is El Ocal stream, 26 km southwest of Neiva, which is in a Turonian marine horizon in the Villeta Formation of Colombia.

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Colombia (5 collections)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
