Type specimen: MNHNCu-93.002395, a carapace. Its type locality is Jaguey Grande quarry J-4, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene platform/shelf-margin reef limestone in the Colón Formation of Cuba.

Ecology: semi-infaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Jaguey Grande quarry J-4
