Sister taxa: Borhyaenidium musteloides, Borhyaenidium riggsi

Type specimen: GEOBOL no. ACH (Achiri) 243, a mandible (Fragment of a left mandibular ramus with posterior alveolus of P1, crowns P2 - M2 complete, and anterior root and most of posterior alveolus of M3). Its type locality is Achiri, which is in a Tortonian terrestrial sandstone in the Mauri Formation of Bolivia.

Ecology: scansorial carnivore

Distribution: found only at Achiri
