Type specimen: MLP 57-X-10-153, a partial skeleton (partial skull, parts of humerus, proximal ulna, other postcrania). Its type locality is Salinas Grandes de Hidalgo, which is in a Huayquerian fluvial siltstone in the Epecuén Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial carnivore

Distribution: found only at Salinas Grandes de Hidalgo
