Sister taxon: Deltasaurus pustulatus

Type specimen: WAM 62.1.44, a partial skull (Partial skull roof with associated palatal fragment). Its type locality is UCMP V6040, which is in an Induan/Olenekian deltaic shale in the Blina Shale Formation of Australia.
