Belongs to Geotrupoides according to Y. C. Hong 1992
Sister taxa: Geotrupoides jiaoheense, Geotrupoides lithographicus, Geotrupoides saxosus, Geotrupoides songyingziensis
Type specimen: Lv81001, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Xiwan village, Meileyingzi, Kezuo, which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Shahai Formation of China.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Xiwan village, Meileyingzi, Kezuo
