Sister taxa: Caipirasuchus attenboroughi, Caipirasuchus mineirus, Caipirasuchus montealtensis, Caipirasuchus paulistanus
Type specimen: MZSP-PV 139, a partial skull (An almost complete skull, lacking the posterior left region and part of the occipital region, found in articulation with complete lower jaws). Its type locality is Boa Esperança farm, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Boa Esperança farm
