Sister taxa: Caipirasuchus mineirus, Caipirasuchus montealtensis, Caipirasuchus paulistanus

Type specimen: MZSP-PV 139, a partial skull (An almost complete skull, lacking the posterior left region and part of the occipital region, found in articulation with complete lower jaws). Its type locality is Boa Esperan├ža farm, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil.

Distribution: found only at Boa Esperan├ža farm
