Sister taxa: Gomphaeschna carinthiae, Gomphaeschna inferna, Gomphaeschna schrankii, Gomphaeschna sibirica

Type specimen: ZD0184, a forewing. Its type locality is Bilina mine, Bílina (Clayey Superseam horizon), which is in a MN 3 lacustrine - small claystone in the Most Formation of Czechia.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Bilina mine, Bílina (Clayey Superseam horizon)
