Sister taxa: Anomoeodus barberi, Anomoeodus caddoi, Anomoeodus mississippiensis, Anomoeodus nursalli, Anomoeodus phaseolus, Anomoeodus splendidus, Anomoeodus subclavatus, Anomoeodus woodwardi

Type specimen: USNM 2194, a partial skull (left splenial). Its type locality is 9 miles west of Tupelo, which is in a Cretaceous marine horizon in Mississippi.

Ecology: nektonic durophage-carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (3: Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
