Type specimen: NM 280/61, a skull. Its type locality is Beardog: Lower Section (0 - 100 ft. level), which is in an Arikareean terrestrial sandstone in the John Day Formation of Oregon.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Beardog: Lower Section (0 - 100 ft. level)
