Type specimen: UWBM 84024, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Bullman Creek, which is in a Rupelian marine siltstone in the Makah Formation of Washington.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Bullman Creek
