Type specimen: USNM 423691, a shell. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 22871, Alzada, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in the Belle Fourche Shale Formation of Montana.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (2: Montana, New Mexico collections)
