Sister taxa: Cricetops auster, Cricetops caducus, Cricetops dormitor
Type specimen: IVPP V 8418, a tooth (Right M1). Its type locality is Ulanmannei (IVPP Loc. 77046), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Wulanbulage Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Ulanmannei (IVPP Loc. 77046)
