Type specimen: IVPP V 22635, a tooth. Its type locality is Lijiawa mammalian fossil locality, which is in an Oligocene fluvial mudstone/marl in the Caijiachong Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Lijiawa mammalian fossil locality
