Sister taxon: Apodosauriscus thermophilus
Type specimen: UCMP 100125 (posterior half of left dentary). Its type locality is Arapahovius Paleofaunule, which is in a Lysitean/Lostcabinian terrestrial horizon in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: planktonic insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Arapahovius Paleofaunule
