Sister taxa: Amynodon advenus, Amynodon altidens, Amynodon alxaensis, Amynodon reedi, Amynodon watanabei
Type specimen: PMNH P2GM340, a partial skull. Its type locality is Hsiaogotze-Baiyaoshan, which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone in the Lumeiyi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser
Distribution: found only at Hsiaogotze-Baiyaoshan
