Sister taxa: Amynodon advenus, Amynodon alxaensis, Amynodon lunanensis, Amynodon reedi, Amynodon watanabei
Type specimen: IVPP V2654, a mandible. Its type locality is Lunan beds, Anren village, Lunan, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lumeiyi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser
Distribution: found only at Lunan beds, Anren village, Lunan
