Sister taxa: Notoemys laticentralis, Notoemys oxfordiensis, Notoemys zapatocaensis

Type specimen: IGM-4861, a partial skeleton (carapace and plastron). Its type locality is Yosobé, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine shale in the Sabinal Formation of Mexico.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Yosobé
