Belongs to Archivesica according to S. Kiel and K. Amano 2010
Sister taxa: Archivesica georgemoorei, Archivesica gibbera, Archivesica gigas, Archivesica tschudi
Type specimen: UCMP 555221, a valve (right valve). Its type locality is USGS loc. 4312 = UCMP IP1718, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Kulthieth Formation of Alaska.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at USGS loc. 4312 = UCMP IP1718
