Type specimen: MNZ S37708, a set of limb elements (tarsometarsus). Its type locality is Anakuli Cave, Hakupu, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Niue.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Anakuli Cave, Hakupu
