Belongs to Ricnodon according to Fritsch 1883
Sister taxa: Ricnodon copei, Ricnodon trachylepis
Type specimen: CGH Orig. 237 ("scattered skull bones and scales"). Its type locality is Nyrany, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine coal in the Kladno Formation of Czechia.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-omnivore
Distribution: found only at Nyrany
