Cone incomplete, basal portion missing, Ca 4.6 cms. long, Ca 3.6 cms. broad; protecting scales 8 to 10 mm broad, 286u thick, visible length 20 mm vertically overlapping; internal structure showing epidermis and ground tissue of compact thin walledparenchymatous cells. Visible part of the cone axis Ca 19 mm long Ca 6 mm broad. Bract scales spirally arranged, at right angle to cone axis, each Ca 13 mm long, 8 to 10 mm broad, 0.8-1 mm thick, the tip 3 to 4 mm long turned upwards; internal structure showing epidermis and compact parenchymatous ground tissue. Ovuliferous scales six per bractscale placed obliquely on its upper side, one of the six partly fused at base of bract scale, each 10-12 mm long, 1.5 to 2.6 mm broad, 1.5 to 2.5 mm thick, the tip 3-4 mm turned upward; two ovules per ovuliferous scale embedded occupying half of its area; epidermis of ovuliferous scale with elements showing spiral to scalariform thickening. Ovules elongated, broad in middle, tappered at both ends, 4 to 8 mm long, 1 to 2 mm thick;integument 3 layered, outer and inner soft, middle sclerotic. Cone apex sterile, 8 to 10 mm long, 23 mm broad, without any ovuliferous scales, vascular supply double, in outer and inner soft integuments of ovules.

Type specimen: 4 Dn/Sh Dept. of Botany, Institute of Science, Nagpur, a seed/fruit (cone). Its type locality is Mohgaon Kalan, which is in a Paleogene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India.
