Type specimen: MLP 96-II-29-1, a mandible. Its type locality is Esquina Blanca - Lower Unit, which is in a Chapadmalalan terrestrial sandstone in the Uquía Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: fossorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at Esquina Blanca - Lower Unit
