Type specimen: LACMIP 12993. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 4340, Pentz, which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the Chico Formation of California.

Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at UCLA loc. 4340, Pentz
