Type specimen: GZG.V 7998, a partial skeleton (Nearly complete skull (18.5 cm skull length), anterior axial skeleton, pectoral girdle, left humerus, and proximal head of ulna). Its type locality is Concordia pit, which is in a Gzhelian/Asselian terrestrial limestone/mudstone in the Quirnbach Formation of Germany.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Concordia pit
