Type specimen: Kunming Institute of Botany, LP 001, a leaf. Its type locality is Fudong, Lanping (yellow sandstone), which is in a Pliocene fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Sanying Formation of China.
Distribution: found only at Fudong, Lanping (yellow sandstone)
