Type specimen: Institute of Palaeontology and Stratigraphy, Lanzhou University, FTP-3108, a leaf. Its type locality is Tuantian Diatomite Mine, Tengchong, which is in a Pliocene fluvial diatomite in the Mangbang Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Tuantian Diatomite Mine, Tengchong
