Its type locality is Sandelzhausen gravel pit, which is in a Langhian fluvial-lacustrine marl/mudstone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-herbivore

Distribution: found only at Sandelzhausen gravel pit
