Type specimen: SNSB-BSPG 1959 II 2033, a partial skeleton (a partial skeleton comprising most of the carapace, the plastron, and some appendicu- lar elements (scapula, humerus, radius, ulna, carpal ele- ments, tibia, fi). Its type locality is Sandelzhausen gravel pit, which is in a Langhian fluvial-lacustrine marl/mudstone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-herbivore
Distribution: found only at Sandelzhausen gravel pit
