Type specimen: National Museum of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, ARI-VP-1/640, a partial skull. Its type locality is Aralee Issie, near Mille River, which is in a Zanclean terrestrial horizon in Ethiopia.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Pliocene of Ethiopia (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
