Sister taxa: Trentingula mazzinensis, Trentingula prinothi
Type specimen: MPL 5890, a valve (dorsal valve). Its type locality is Cavalese, Fiemme Valley, which is in a Dienerian transition zone/lower shoreface lime mudstone in the Werfen Formation of Italy.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Triassic of Hungary (1 collection), Italy (5)
