Sister taxa: Trentingula lorigae, Trentingula prinothi
Type specimen: MPL 5923, a valve (dorsal valve). Its type locality is Malga Panna, Moena, Val di Fassa, which is in a Griesbachian transition zone/lower shoreface mudstone in the Werfen Formation of Italy.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Malga Panna, Moena, Val di Fassa
