Type specimen: UMVP 1456, a mandible (left mandible with m1-3). Its type locality is Purgatory Hill, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Tullock Formation of Montana.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution:
• Paleocene of United States (2: Montana, Wyoming collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
