Sister taxa: Halictus archaeocephalus, Halictus petrefactus, Halictus ruissatelensis, Halictus savenyei, Halictus schemppi
Type specimen: MNHN.F.A71403, a forewing. Its type locality is Sainte-Reine, Foufouilloux outcrop (MNHN collection), which is in a Messinian crater lake marl in France.

Distribution: found only at Sainte-Reine, Foufouilloux outcrop (MNHN collection)
