Sister taxa: Sinemys brevispinus, Sinemys chabuensis, Sinemys gamera
Type specimen: Syntypes PMU R 1500–1506. Its type locality is Ningchiakou, Mengyin, which is in a Berriasian/Valanginian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Mengyin Formation of China.
Ecology: aquatic omnivore
Distribution: found only at Ningchiakou, Mengyin
