Sister taxa: Huangzhishania gulinensis, Huangzhishania schistovertebrata
Type specimen: Holotype IGPS 108669, paratypes IGPS 108666-108668. Its type locality is Huangzhishan section, upper bed 12, Huzhou city, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal mudstone in the Huangzhishan Formation of China.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore-suspension feeder
