Belongs to Ernestokokenia according to G. G. Simpson 1935
Sister taxa: Ernestokokenia nitida, Ernestokokenia patagonica, Ernestokokenia yirunhor
Type specimen: MGP-PD 29119, a tooth (isolated upper molar, probably M2). Its type locality is Bajo de la Palangana (upper levels), which is in a Riochican terrestrial sandstone in the Las Flores Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: scansorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Bajo de la Palangana (upper levels)
