Stromerius nidensis
Taxonomy
Stromerius nidensis was named by Gingerich (2007). Its type specimen is USNM 100140, a set of vertebrae (thoracic, lumbar and caudal vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Garet el-Esh, which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Qasr el-Sagha Formation of Egypt.
