Liaoxitriton zhongjiani
Taxonomy
Liaoxitriton zhongjiani was named by Dong and Wang (1998). Its type specimen is IVPP V11582, a skeleton (part and counterpart of articulated skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sajiaocheng, Huludao City (Jiufotang Formation), which is in an Aptian terrestrial shale in the Jiufotang Formation of China. It is the type species of Liaoxitriton.
