Numidotherium savagei
Taxonomy
Numidotherium savagei was named by Court (1995). Its type specimen is 6821/10 (University of Bristol), a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dur At-Talah (west of the escarpment) - 68.19, which is in a Bartonian/Eocene marginal marine conglomerate in Libya.
It was recombined as Arcanotherium savagei by Delmer (2009), Coster et al. (2012).
