It was corrected as Bembicidae by Sann et al. (2018); it was reranked as the subfamily Bembicinae by Melo (1999), Brothers (1999), Pulawski (2014) and Rosa and Melo (2021).

It was assigned to Platiglossata by Latreille (1802); to Apoidea by Sann et al. (2018); and to Crabronidae by Melo (1999), Brothers (1999), Pulawski (2014) and Rosa and Melo (2021).
